In addition to a USB flash drive , external hard disk is one of the popular device for carrying and moving a variety of data required. Another alternative comes in the form of external SSDs are generally faster , more shock resistant , but its price is higher than the external hard disk. One external SSDs are present in PCplus come from PenDrive through Infinite 256GB Nano.
First saw this 256GB PenDrive Nano Infinite PCplus immediately attracted by its dimensions are compact, ie 9.2 x 5.3 x 0.8 cm. Its weight is only 40 grams ( not including connectors ). In other words , it is easy to carry around. Own use USB connector and supports USB 3.0.
As the name suggests , an external SSD 1.8 " from the PenDrive has a capacity of 256GB. In addition to 256GB , PenDrive Infinite Nano also comes with a 128GB capacity. The 256GB capacity is still less than most external hard disk , but naturally it offers better performance than the external hard disk.
To ensure the above assumptions , PCplus perform a number of tests using HD Tune Pro 5.00 2:47 ATTO Disk Benchmark , and copy some files manually. PCplus also perform testing utilizing PCMark 7 Professional Edition 1.0.4 , but this is more to measure performance when used as a storage media for the system media store.
HD Tune Pro at 5:00 can be seen the average reading speed offered Nano Infinite 256GB PenDrive reached 240.5 MB / s. Minimum reading speed did not differ much at 236.3 MB / s. This figure is certainly much faster than an external hard disk.
ATTO Disk Benchmark At 2:47 , compared to a number of external hard disk , the speed of the transfer size is less than 64kB , not good. Fortunately reading speed increased to more rapidly than 180MB / s transfer size since using 64kB. Unfortunately , the writing speed is much lower. Starting from the transfer size 64kB , writing speed 256GB PenDrive more varied Infinite Nano with the lowest value only faster than 50MB / s. This means that the speed of writing is still not good enough.
Higher reading speed is also confirmed by testing the our blog review manually copy some files from and to the Infinite 256GB PenDrive Nano. In this test , the average speed readings obtained around 128MB / s , while the average writing speed is only around 62MB / s. Here , again only the superior speed readings from a number of external hard disk.
Lower writing speed is in line with claims from PenDrive. In the specifications, PenDrive mention writing speed offered 256GB Nano Infinite faster than 100MB / s , half of speed reading faster than 200MB / s.
From the tests our blog, it can be said Infinite 256GB PenDrive Nano offers a better reading speed of external hard disk , but not so with the speed of writing. However , beyond price , for you who need an external storage media with fast reading , easy to carry , and more resistant to shocks than hard disk , 256GB PenDrive Infinite Nano could be considered.
